Claxton leads season in field goals

Nic Claxton

If there's anyone in the NBA that is relatively young and have infatuated me most aside from Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, Jordan Clarkson and Jalen Green, Nic Claxton of the Brooklyn Nets has qualified to my taste of a player.
Claxton is currently leading the league this season in field goal percentage with 73.8 percent.  He's averaging 11.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists prior to the Nets' game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Dec 23.
The Nets rolled to their eight straight win over the league's co-leader Bucks, 128-100, at home.
Claxton finished with 19-8-5 (point-rebound-assist). They are now 21-12 at fourth in the East.
Playing alongside Kevin Durant at forward position, the three-year pro had a career average of 6.7 percent after the 2021-2022 season.
I like this guy's work ethic as the 23-year old native of Greenville, South Carolina knows how to position himself for an open shot. He knows when to shoot and he can attack the rim when it needed to.
His size (6-11) is suited for his position as he often makes second point chance after an offensive rebound. That kind of stuff which I like most in a player.

Although not popular as a Luka magic or a terrific Morant or perfectly matured Clarkson, Claxton has a long way to go but more to show as he develops his young pro career into a real star status and the qualities the others in his generation already have.
Claxton played college basketball for the Georgia Bulldogs. He was selected in the second round by the Nets and 31st overall in the 2019 rookie draft.
As a rookie he finished the season with 5.6.
